RIO DE JANEIRO - The President of the Council of Christian Churches of Rio de Janeiro State (CONIC-Rio), pastor Lusmarina Campos Garcia, sent a letter to the Secretary General of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, hailing the Churches European Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
She reported the thanks God for "keeping alive the flame of connection and unity between all its member churches." Lusmarina also noted that this "year when the World Cup takes place in Brazil" the fluminense's Christians ask "God who loves crowds and parties" to bless.
The pastor concluded the letter by interceding who will pray and celebrate the joy of being and while many a people of God, affirming the fellowship and friendship in Christ.
